Dance Different Characters

Dance Different is a label created by five EDM musicians who wanted to bring life, personality, and a strong visual identity to their brand.

With that in mind, together with TONTO, I developed the DD Universe — a visual world inspired by the five founding members of the label.

The goal of this project was to represent the members of the Dance Different collective in a stylized way, inspired by the modeling-clay aesthetic, featuring smooth shapes and organic textures that evoke a handcrafted feel.

In this project, I was responsible for creating the character designs and creatively directing the entire 3D world’s aesthetic, as well as collaborating with tonto to develop the brand’s visual identity.

Beyond the characters, we built a connected visual universe that extends across the cover art of each single, establishing a cohesive and instantly recognizable identity. Every release becomes part of a larger narrative — a lore designed to strengthen the group’s concept and aesthetics, uniting music, imagery, and storytelling within the same creative universe.
